<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle, for efficiently attracting and removing iron powder invading a wind path, and to provide an inexpensive magnetic filter having a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 30 for a vehicle includes: a refrigerating cycle device formed by connecting a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchangers 36a and 36b and a throttle valve, with refrigerant piping; and a casing 31 having an outdoor fan chamber provided with at least the outdoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan chamber 33 provided with at least the indoor heat exchangers 36a and 36b. Here, a return air inlet 24 and blowing outlet 28, formed in a top plate 23 of a cabin 25 of the vehicle 20, and the indoor fan chamber 33 communicate with each other in a state formed on a roof 21 of the vehicle 20. Also, the magnetic filter includes, by magnetization: a flat plate made of a magnetic material and having a plurality of ventilating holes; or metal mesh made of a magnetic material.
