<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure optical physics and mass of a liquid sample in a spectral analysis method and device. <P>SOLUTION: The spectral analysis method has: a process for radiating first electromagnetic wave in a first wavelength range to an absorbent which does not absorb the liquid sample and detecting second electromagnetic wave for transmitting or reflecting the absorbent; a process for having the absorbent absorb the liquid sample; a process for radiating third electromagnetic wave in the first wavelength range to the absorbent that has absorbed the liquid sample and detecting fourth electromagnetic wave for transmitting or reflecting the absorbent; a process for acquiring optical physics information about the liquid sample on the basis of a change of the fourth electromagnetic wave from the second electromagnetic wave; a process for radiating fifth electromagnetic wave in a second wavelength range to the absorbent which has absorbed the liquid sample, detecting sixth electromagnetic wave which has transmitted the absorbent, and measuring light transmissivity of the absorbent on the basis of the fifth electromagnetic wave and the sixth electromagnetic wave; and a process for acquiring mass information about the liquid sample on the basis of the light transmissivity.
