PURPOSE: A portable terminal and screen display control method therefor are provided to suitably compensate data displayed on a display screen according to the motion of a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: Motion sensing units(121,160) sense the motion of a portable terminal. If the motion degrees of the portable terminal are higher than threshold values based on the sensing result of the motion sensing unit, a control unit(180) compensates the image for including the opposite motion from the current motion. The control unit the compensated image on a display screen. An image analysis unit acquires the motion information of the portable terminal.
