DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DRYING COAL FOR COKE OVEN

PURPOSE: A coal drying apparatus for coke and a drying method are provided to minimize environmental pollution and reduce energy consumption by using the waste gas of a coke oven as heat source. CONSTITUTION: A coal drying apparatus for coke comprises driers(10, 11), a coal supplying unit(20), and a hot air supplying unit(30). The dryers dry coal by using hot air. The coal supplying unit and hot air supplying units are connected to the driers and the coal supplying unit pours coal to a spreader plate. The hot air supplying unit comprises a branch pipe(31) and a blower(32). The branch pipe supplies hot air by using exhaust gas from the combustion chamber(70) of a coke oven. The blower blows the hot air to the hot air line(33) of the driers.
