Ski with interchangeable steel strips - having edges protected by polyurethane strips

The ski has a U shaped hollow profile formed by >=2 shells each having surface parts running along each ski side wall at a distance of 0.2 mm from each other and bonded together by a shock absorbing plastic, with steel edge profiles arranged at the joining point of both shells according to parent patent in which the steel edge profiles are strips 0.1 mm thick and fastened in the plane of the gliding surface so that the outer edge of the steel strip projects over the side walls by 3 mm. Pref. polyurethane strips protect the projecting steel strips on the opposite side to the gliding surface along the ski sides and are fastened to the ski walls.
