<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient space for a cargo room with lightweight and very simple structure without influence on appearance of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This opening/closing device of a vehicular rear gate includes: side latches 66a, 66b disposed to side edge parts of a rear opening part of a vehicle body 12; side strikers 38a, 38b disposed at predetermined positions of a lower gate 18 corresponding to positions of side latches 66a, 66b, and engaged with the side latches 66a, 66b when the lower gate 18 is closed; a latch drive part electrically driving the side latches 66a, 66b; and a lower operation lever 44 electrically connected with the latch drive portion and controlling the latch drive part to drive the side latches 66a, 66b, and releasing an engagement state of the side latches 66a, 66b with the side strikers 38a, 38b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
