NOVEL INSULIN GROWTH FACTOR-I FROM BOS TAURUS AND GENE ENCODING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A novel IGF-I, a gene encoding the same, and a method for preparing the IGF-I are provided to produce a large amount of host cells and to promote livestock growth. CONSTITUTION: An IGF-I(insulin-like growth factor I) has an amino acid of sequence number 1 and is derived from Bos Taurus. A nucleotide encoding IGF-I is denoted by sequence number 2 or 3. An expression vector containing the nucleotide encoding IGF-I is a plasmid for expressing E.coli or Bacillus. A composition for feed additive contains IGF-I. A method for producing a transformed microorganism for expression IGF-I comprises: a step of inserting the nucleotide sequence into an expression vector; and a step of transforming a microorganism with the expression vector.
