PURPOSE: A semiconductor IC is provided to efficiently prevent static electricity entering a semiconductor internal circuit by electrically separating an interface pad and an input buffer when static electricity is generated. CONSTITUTION: An input buffer(103) receives an external signal from an interface pad(101). An static electricity discharge part(201) discharges static electricity to the interface pad when static electricity is generated. The static electricity discharge part includes a diode(105), a first discharge part(109), and a second discharge part(111). The diode discharges an electric charge from the interface pad to a power voltage terminal(VDD) or a ground voltage terminal(VSS). An input buffer protection part(203) electrically separates the interface pad and the input buffer when the static electricity is generated.
