<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's handleability by allowing an image forming apparatus to determine whether or not to perform security print when print is instructed from a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: The print state of the image forming apparatus is checked to determine whether or not to perform the security print. The print state where the security print is to be performed means a case where there is a print job, a case where recording paper is left in a paper ejection tray, a case where an original is placed on an original platen, and a case where a control panel is being used. When performing print while another user is using the image forming apparatus, it is a matter of security, and then print data is temporarily accumulated.
