<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means hardly causing cracks in a made Buddha statue or the like during drying, not requiring skills to make the Buddha statue or the like, and reducing making cost. <P>SOLUTION: A method of making a molded body, includes the following steps A to D: (A) drying elm bark; (B) powdering the dried elm bark; (C) kneading the powdered bark with water; and (D) shaping the powdered bark kneaded with water. The method may include the step C-1 of mixing and adding japan into the powdered bark kneaded with water which is obtained in the step C. The step D includes: the step D-1 of making a mold; the step D-2 of applying a cloth on the surface of the mold and applying the powdered bark kneaded with water which is obtained in the step C or C-1; the step D-3 of removing the mold; the step D-4 of shaping the molded article obtained after removing the mold, while further applying the powdered bark kneaded with water which is obtained in the step C or C-1; and the step D-5 of drying the molded article having been shaped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
