<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a conveyance guide device configured such that before an image forming position for a conveyed material is determined, the conveyed material (recording paper or blank sheet) differing in stiffness indicated by thickness or firmness in a conveyance path is moved in a preset direction by using an air flow generating device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises a conveyance guide device 90. The conveyance guide device 90 includes: a plurality of air flow generating devices 95; a conveyance guide plate 91 disposed upstream of a resist roller 84 in a conveyance path 87; and a width guide member 93 including a reference guide plate 931 and a regulating guide plate 932 and configured to regulate a conveyance width in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance of a conveyed material 9 on the conveyance guide plate 91. The conveyance guide device 90 jets an air flow from an air flow blow hole 94 on a surface of the conveyance guide plate 91, thereby the conveyed material 9 conveyed to the conveyance guide plate 91 is moved to a preset position or toward a preset direction while being floated.
