<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device for a vehicle which can record necessary data at occurrence of predetermined events even if a plurality of electronic control devices are installed as in-vehicle control systems. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of ECUs 10 to 30 and 60 composing in-vehicle control systems comprises a memory for recording data concerning an operational state of the own in-vehicle control system. Among the plurality of ECUs 10 to 30 and 60, when one ECU 60 detects the occurrence of a predetermined abnormal event, the ECU 60 records data concerning an operational state of the own in-vehicle control system in the own memory. Further, the ECU 60 notifies other ECUs 10 to 30 that the predetermined abnormal event is generated via communication.
