<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a semiconductor relay. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor relay 1 comprises: a light-emitting diode LD; a photodiode PD; a switching element Q; and a resistor R. A source of the switching element Q and a terminal P4 are connected to an anode of the photodiode PD. A gate of the switching element Q and one end of the resistor R are connected to a cathode of the photodiode PD.
