<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document carrying device capable of carrying a document with the document tensed in both directions of a document reading part even if the document is made to pass through the document reading part from both the directions. <P>SOLUTION: The document carrying device includes: a first roller installed at a first carrying path and sending out a document to a reading position of the document reading part to read a first face of the document; a second roller installed at a second carrying path to carry the document read in the reading position on the second carrying path; a third roller installed at the second carrying path and sending out the document to the reading position to read a second face of the document; a fourth roller installed at the first carrying path to carry the document read in the reading position; and a carrying speed adjusting mechanism for setting a circumferential velocity of the second roller higher than that of the first roller when the document is carried from the first carrying path through the reading position to the second carrying path and setting a circumferential velocity of the fourth roller higher than that of the third roller when the document is carried from the second carrying path through the reading position to the first carrying path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
