<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a high quality image, without incurring high cost. <P>SOLUTION: A reflective optical sensor includes an irradiation system including eleven emission parts arranged at regular intervals in a main direction, and a light receiving system including eleven light receiving parts, or the like. A printer control unit detects a pattern for detecting spot array inclination on an intermediate transfer belt and acquires inclination information of an optical spot array relative to the main direction (step S307).
