<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device of an automatic transmission, wherein a spacing in a recess or a hole part is narrowed when an inclination angle of a shift lever relative to a slide cover is small, the spacing in the recess is widened when the inclination angle of the shift lever relative to the slide cover is large, and the recess or the hole part is always in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the shift lever. <P>SOLUTION: A slide cover (5) comprises a first slide cover (6) and a second slide cover (7) including a pair of recesses (11, 15) in contact with an outer peripheral surface of a shift lever (2) from mutually facing sides, wherein a spacing (L) between the pair of recesses (11, 15) is changed while following the inclination of the shift lever (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
