<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact battery pack with high drop impact strength by eliminating an increase in external dimensions due to a resin film wound therearound. <P>SOLUTION: A battery pack comprises: a battery; a protection circuit for controlling the battery; an upper case and a lower case for incorporating the battery and the protection circuit; and a resin film attached to the outer side of the upper case and the lower case. At the attachment position of the resin film, the upper case and the lower case have a recess whose depth from the outermost shape is equivalent to the thickness of the resin film. Thus, even if the resin film is attached for strength enhancement, the battery pack can have a compact size and high drop impact strength by suppressing an increase in width dimension of the battery pack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
