The system (10) has an idle gear (14) shaped for being rotatably mounted on a shaft (12) of a gear box. A sliding gear (29) with another jaw clutch (32) is shaped to axially slide alternatively in coupled position in which the jaw clutch allows transmission of torque to a jaw clutch (18) of the idle gear and in uncoupled position in which the idler gear freely rotates relative to the sliding gear. A magnetic synchronization device (50) is shaped such that magnetic field transmits rotation from the sliding gear to the idle gear, so that the gears are rotatably synchronized with each other. An independent claim is also included for a gear box for a vehicle i.e. automobile.
