The casing has a conduit (1) including a cover (15) to be assembled at a base (4) for sealing a longitudinal opening (8) formed in the base. An accessory (2) includes a cap (39) for closing one end of the conduit, and an end piece (18) integral with the base. The end piece includes a series of teeth to secure the cap along longitudinal direction of the conduit, and a branch for sealing a gap between the base and the cap. The cap includes complementary teeth to cooperate with the teeth of the end piece for abutting against the cover and partially covering the branch. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a casing.
