PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool that can prepare a prescribed range of a sheet metal for working and can form an optional contour of a working range without giving damage onto the surface of the sheet metal.

SOLUTION: The tool 11 for separating a sheet 18 adhering to the sheet metal 10 to be worked, used for a sheet metal processing machine 1, includes a rotatably supported ball 16 and the sheet 18 is separated by rotation motion of the ball 16.
