MAP DISPLAY METHOD AND COMPUTER SYSTEM, AND MAP SERVER, LOCATION INFORMATION PROVIDING SERVER, AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads on maintenance management of a system providing location information such as advertisement and a map concerning a location.

SOLUTION: A map system 100 and location information providing system 20 are interconnected via a network. The map system 100 is a versatile map providing server which provides a map of the vicinity of a required location. The location information providing system 20 is a server which provides other location information such as advertisement concerning a location of a shop or the like. The location information providing system 20 stores display control information, that is, information required for displaying a map on the map system 100, in association with the location information. The location information providing system 20 can perform map display by using the display control information despite whether being managed by the map system 100 or not. Thus, the two servers can independently operate, and loads on maintenance management can be reduced.
