<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of effectively cooling an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises a cooling device for cooling an optical element 361 by a cooling fluid. The cooling device comprises discharge means for discharging the cooling fluid and causing the cooling fluid to circulate along the surface of the optical element 361 at such a flow rate that the Reynolds number becomes 300,000 or more. Then, turbulence is generated in the cooling fluid circulating along the surface of the optical element 361, and the optical element 361 is cooled by the cooling fluid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
