<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car that can reduce the number of parts and suppress deterioration of detection accuracy of a car position. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator car 2 includes: a car frame 11 with a vertical pole 16 and a car chamber 13 supported by the car frame 11. The vertical pole 16 has a vertical pole body 23, and a cam 24 which is integrally formed with the vertical pole body 23 and operates a position switch 9 inside a hoistway 1.
