<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing member having a filler material for improving surface properties while low surface energy coating of a fixing member deteriorates peeling performance in many cases. <P>SOLUTION: A surface coating is disclosed. The surface coating includes a fluorine-based plastic having dispersed in aerogel particles, wherein the aerogel particles comprise about 0.1-25 wt.% of the surface coating.
