<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reliability of the operation of a motor drive device for a vehicle using a two-way roller clutch. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive device for the vehicle employs a structure that is provided with: a first-gear two-way roller clutch 15A, located between a first-gear output gear 9A and an output shaft 7; a second-gear two-way roller clutch 15B, located between a second-gear output gear 9B and the output shaft 7; a first-gear friction plate 36A, which is provided in a manner so as to be able to move in the axial direction between a position which makes contact with the first-gear output gear 9A and a position which is separated therefrom; and a second-gear friction plate 36B, which is provided in a manner so as to be able to move in the axial direction between a position which makes contact with the second-gear output gear 9B and a position which is separated therefrom. Therein, the first-gear friction plate 36A comprises a flange section 37 which faces the side surface of the first-gear output gear 9A, and a guide-boss section 38 which is fitted in the inside of a shift ring 35; and the second-gear friction plate 36B also comprises a flange section 37 which faces the side surface of the second-gear output gear 9B, and a guide-boss section 38 which is fitted in the inside of the shift ring 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
