<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly operate a series of operations from a lock release operation to an extendable operation of a feed cassette by improving reliability of the lock release of a locking mechanism in an extendable recording material feed cassette. <P>SOLUTION: The recording material feed cassette includes: a first cassette portion 49 that is a side mounted on an apparatus; a second cassette portion 51 that is extendably integrated into the first cassette portion 49; and the locking mechanism 47 that fixes the first cassette portion 49 and the second cassette portion 51 at a predetermined expandable position so that they are not extendable. The locking mechanism 47 includes a lock portion 97 capable of moving in a first direction B that is orthogonal to an extension/retraction direction so as to take on a locked position and an unlocked position, an operation portion that is provide in the second cassette 51 and can be moved in a second direction A that follows the extension/retraction direction, and a deformable connection portion 69 that connects the lock portion 97 and the operation portion 95. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
