<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the number of parallax images to be displayed on a screen by the number of the maximum viewpoints or below determined on the basis of a relation between an optical element and a pixel. <P>SOLUTION: In a stereoscopic display device having the inherent number of maximum viewpoints, the same image is simultaneously outputted to pixels of a plurality of viewpoints, or a parallax image is displayed by the number of viewpoints equal to or less than the number of the maximum viewpoints by mixing a plurality of parallax images to display the parallax images in accordance with contribution. By performing the display, the parallax image can be displayed by arbitrary viewpoints between a multiple viewpoint display excellent in motion parallax and a less viewpoint display advantageous to ghost and aliasing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
