<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether texts have a synonymous or implication relation by considering that a word has a different concept depending on a role in the texts. <P>SOLUTION: A predicate that can be relevant to a concept of a word or the word itself, semantic relation information representing a semantic relation with the predicate, and role information representing a role of the word in a text when the word appears with the predicate, are retained in association with each other. Analysis is made as to whether or not, in a pair of texts to be processed, one of the texts includes at least one word having common role information with a word included in the other of the texts or at least one word whose role information corresponds to a common concept with the word included in the other of the texts. Then, it is determined, based on the result of the analysis by analysis means, whether the pair of texts has a synonymous relation in which both the texts have the same meaning, or an implication relation in which a meaning of one of the texts includes a meaning of the other of the texts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
