<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet which prevents water from being unexpectedly and wrongly discharged by an object detection sensor detecting washing clothes or the like when soaking the washing clothes or the like in water before washing them after storing hot and cold water in a bowl part. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic faucet includes: a discharge port to which a water supply hose is connected and which discharges hot and cold water supplied through the water supply hose; a solenoid valve connected to the water supply hose; a bowl part storing the hot and cold water discharged from the discharge port; a water storage detection part detecting whether the hot and cold water is stored in the bowl part; an object detection sensor which transmits a propagation wave toward an object to be detected and determines whether or not the object to be detected exists, based on the reflection amount, for an output; and solenoid valve driving means driving the solenoid valve, based on the output of the object detection sensor.
