<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, an information processing apparatus, a scaling method, a program, and a recording medium in which an auto-scaling mechanism is implemented which increases/decreases server scale in response to a demand change in a cloud environment. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing system 100 comprises a processing server group 120 including a plurality of processing servers 122, a substitutive server 124 for responding substitutively for the processing server group 120, and a load balancer 110 which distributes traffic to the processing server group 120 and transfers traffic to the substitutive server 124 when the processing server group 120 falls into overload state. The information processing system 100 further calculates target scale of the processing server group 120 in accordance with the amount of transfer to the processing server group 120 by the load balancer 110 and the amount of transfer to the substitutive server 124, and prepares processing servers for the processing server group in order to reinforce the processing server group from the present scale to the target scale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
