<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage facility and a storage method for storing waste-derived solid fuel (for example, RDF or biomass waste-derived solid fuel) under physical conditions easily causing the fermentation thereof even in a hot-humid environment in which the fermentation may be further accelerated. <P>SOLUTION: The waste-derived solid fuel is anaerobically fermented in a fermentation tank 52. A biogas that is evolved by the fermentation is made to flow into a primary storage tank 53 (biogas storage tank), then compressed and cooled, and stored in a secondary storage tank (biogas storage tank). The biogas stored in the secondary storage tank is sent to a boiler in a power generation part and used as fuel or n auxiliary fuel.
