<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device that allows reduction in the manufacturing cost and is easily downsized. <P>SOLUTION: A switching power supply device 1 comprises an electronic circuit board 2, a base plate 3, and a cooler 4. The electronic circuit board 2 is equipped with a plurality of electronic components 5. The electronic components 5 include semiconductor modules 5a including a switching element and large electronic components 5b having a length longer than the semiconductor modules 5a in the normal direction (Z direction) of the base plate 3. A distance d1 between the cooler 4 and the electronic circuit board 2 is narrower than a distance d2 between the base plate 3 and the electronic circuit board 2. The semiconductor modules 5a are interposed between the cooler 4 and the electronic circuit board 2 and contact the cooler 4.
