<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable display device displaying a set screen for the additional information of contents data, to provide a display method, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The portable display device has a set-screen generating section generating the set screen for the additional information of one contents data containing a plurality of selection items regarding the additional information as the set screen for an arbitrary additional information set to one contents data and a selection-operation detecting section 236 detecting a selection operation selecting at least either of a plurality of selection items contained in the set screen for the additional information of one contents data. The portable display device further has an additional-information setting section setting the additional information of one contents data in the selection items selected by the selection operation and a changeover-operation detecting section 244 detecting the changeover operation of the set screen for the additional information.
