<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting capable of forming a double-roll flow pattern in a mold and further keeping the flow rate of each molten steel flow going upward and downward in the mold within a given range in the high-speed casting of a slab having a large width-thickness ratio. <P>SOLUTION: An immersion nozzle 10 is formed as follows: the lower part of a tubular body 11 having a bottom 20 is formed having a flat rectangular shape; a pair of first discharge holes 14 communicating with a flow passage 13 are formed at both walls at short sides of the lower part while opposing each other; a pair of second discharge holes 16 communicating with the flow passage 13 are formed at the bottom 20; the pair of first discharge holes 14 are partitioned into an upper stage discharge hole 14a and a lower stage discharge hole 14b, respectively, with partitioning sections 22; between the partitioning sections 22, a projection 15 is formed which projects inward from both inner walls 19 at the long side of the flow passage 13 and horizontally crosses the inner walls 19; and the pair of second discharge holes 16 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the center axis of the tubular body 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
