<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle security system that can permit a third party to cancel an alarm temporarily in a particular situation while appropriately maintaining a security function. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle security system includes: a security device for vehicle for sending a message of an alarm trigger event to a monitoring center, upon occurring the alarm trigger event on a vehicle; the monitoring center for sending an alarm to a portable terminal or a personal computer in response to reception of the alarm trigger event message; an identifying facility capable of communicating with the monitoring center and accepting an authentication operation by a person; and confirmation means for confirming that the vehicle is present in the identifying facility. If it is confirmed by the confirmation means that the vehicle is present in the identifying facility, the vehicle security system is allowed to cancel the alarm according to a combination of an authentication operation on the security device for vehicle and an authentication operation in the identifying facility by the person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
