<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a navigation device having a rerouting function and a heading-up function from abruptly executing the rerouting function and the heading-up function. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal device receives recommended route data from a departure point to a destination from a navigation server, and starts route guidance processing. The portable terminal device measures a current location (step S21), when the portable terminal device has departed from a recommended route (step S22:Yes), executes rerouting processing (step S23), and then executes map updating and heading-up processing (step S24).
