<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a substituted pyridine, which is a constituting block useful in synthesis of pharmaceuticals or agrochemicals, for example, bactericides, insecticides or herbicides. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preparing a substituted pyridine derivative containing a compound represented by formula (wherein R6 is methyl) includes: reacting an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound and Wittig reaction reagent or Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction reagent in the presence of a base; and successively cyclizing the resultant by an acidic catalyst, a zeolite catalyst or a basic catalyst, or successively basically cyclizing the resultant in the presence of ammonia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
