PURPOSE: A low nitrogen oxide(NOx) burner is provided to reduce thermal NOx by decreasing the temperature of flames because the calorific value of fuel is decreased by mixing some exhaust gas into the flames. CONSTITUTION: A low NOx burner comprises a venturi unit(31), a fuel feeding unit(41), and a diffuser(61). If fuel is discharged from a fuel discharge hole(43) of the fuel feeding unit, the pressure of a neck part(37) of the venturi unit is dropped lower than the peripheral pressure thereof and some exhaust gas around the center frame of a combustion chamber(5) automatically flows into the neck part after passing through an inlet(33) of the venturi unit. The exhaust gas flowing into the neck part is mixed with the fuel discharging to the neck part through the fuel feeding unit. The mixed fuel is jetted to the combustion chamber through a fuel jetting hole of the diffuser. Accordingly, the temperature of the flames is decreased in combustion.
