The present invention relates to the use of a solid or liquid kelp preparation, especially of Kelpak® (from Compo, Germany)for promoting the growth of seafood, in particular of crustaceans and especially of shrimps and prawns, and to a method for promoting the growth of seafood,which method comprises treating the seafood's habitat with a solid or liquid kelp preparation.
