METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for separating gas capable of separating highly efficiently carbon dioxide and another gas component containing methane from mixed gas containing much carbon dioxide and containing at least methane as another component, and thereby obtaining high-concentration methane gas highly efficiently with saved energy.

SOLUTION: This method for separating gas includes a step in which mixed gas containing carbon dioxide as a main component and containing at least methane as another component and water are used as raw materials, and an additive to be added into raw material water, which is an additive for forming II type hydrate on the higher temperature side or the lower pressure side than the phase equilibrium curve of mixed gas hydrate using water not containing the additive as a raw material is added, to thereby generate the II type hydrate from the mixed gas.
