<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide locking device that can suppress the rattling of the upper rail and the lower rail in the locked state despite of the manufacturing tolerance of a plurality of rocking pieces. <P>SOLUTION: A seat slide locking apparatus includes: a lower rail provided with a plurality of locking holes; and a plurality of locking pieces provided on the lower rail. The locking pieces include a first locking piece 4a having a broad width inserting part 46 and a second locking piece 4b having a narrow width inserting part 47, and are held by a holding member 6 which has a holding hole 66.
