<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that prevents degradation in straight line stability and steering stability and allows rubber hardness of a tread part to be accurately measured using a durometer. <P>SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire 1, shoulder lateral grooves 5D extending inward in a tire shaft direction from a tread ground-contact end 2t are disposed in the tread part 2 at intervals in a tire circumferential direction.
