<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unitarily manage a balance in a currency management device by a teller machine without requiring a bank clerk to operate the teller machine when the clerk withdraws/deposits cash from/with the currency management device. <P>SOLUTION: A currency management system has a teller machine for performing balance management in a financial institute office and a currency management device mutually communicable with the teller machine. The currency management device includes: storage means for storing currencies; memory means for memorizing a balance of the currencies stored in the storage means; and communication means for transmitting processing information including denominations, number and/or amount of currencies deposited/withdrawn with/from the storage means when depositing/withdrawing currencies with/from the storage means from/to the teller machine. The teller machine includes: communication means for receiving the processing information from the currency management device; memory means for memorizing at least a balance of currencies stored in the teller machine and the balance of the currencies stored in the currency management device; and calculation means for updating at least the balance of the currencies in the currency management device on the basis of the processing information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
