<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of correctly detecting the temperature on a field winding. <P>SOLUTION: The electric blower includes: an armature unit (not shown) having a rotary shaft (not shown), an armature core (not shown), an armature winding (not shown) and a commutator (not shown); a field unit 14 having a field core 12, a field winding 13, a thermo-protector 22 and a slot 20 formed in the field core 12 to store the field winding 13; anti-load side bracket (not shown) storing the armature unit and the field unit 14; an impeller (not shown) that is fixed to the rotary shaft and rotated at a high speed to generate an air flow; and an air guide (not shown) that is disposed around the impeller and formed with plural guide blades (not shown). The slot 20 is formed with a notch 23 therein and the thermo-protector 22 is disposed in the notch 23.
