<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a change method and an adjustment component for the sound quality of a piano and a piano with it, by which characteristics of a sound board can be changed independent of a contour shape of the piano and sound characteristics of the sound board of an existing piano can be adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: With this piano sound quality change method, the sound quality of a piano is changed by suppressing a vibration at least of a sound board or a sound rib by a press contact of a flat face of a sound quality adjustment component having a leg with the flat face against a surface of a sound board converting a string vibration to an air vibration or of a sound rib whose other side contacts with the sound board.
