<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic roller, in which failure caused by cleaning is suppressed, and to provide a drying method by which liquid on a cylinder surface can be efficiently removed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic roller, which has a core bar and at least one layer of an elastic layer covering a circumferential surface of the core bar except for circumferential surfaces at both ends, includes steps of: (1) cleaning a circumferential surface of the elastic layer formed on the circumferential surface of the core bar with a liquid; and (2) drying the circumferential surface of the elastic layer. The step (2) includes a step of removing a liquid depositing on the circumferential surface of the elastic layer by producing a vortex flow of gas around the elastic layer. The method for drying a cylinder includes a step of producing a vortex flow of gas around the cylinder cleaned with a liquid, the vortex flow concentric to the cylinder, to remove the liquid depositing on a circumferential surface of the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
