<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna structure of a waterproof type portable radio and the waterproof type portable radio which ensure to avoid the influences on other antennas when an antenna is housed. <P>SOLUTION: An antenna structure of a waterproof type portable radio 1 includes: a housing 16 housing a radio circuit part 22 so as to make the interior watertight; and a whip antenna 43 extending and retracting inside and outside the housing 16. The antenna structure of the waterproof type portable radio 1 includes a cutout part waterproof gasket covering around the whip antenna 43; an impedance circuit part 21 housed at the housing 16 in a watertight manner; a first connection part 13 connecting the other end part 43b of the whip antenna 43 with the impedance circuit part 21 when the whip antenna 43 is retracted; and a second connection part 15 connecting the other end part 43b of the whip antenna 43 with the radio circuit part 22 when the whip antenna 43 is extended.
