The method involves comparing (COMP) a score (Se) of an eluted string (Ce) with a score of a reference character string corresponding to a name of a label station stored in a database (BD) with a same identifier (S id Station). The reference character string is stored in the database. The reference character string is replaced with a chosen string of characters when the score of the chosen string of characters is better than a score of a chain of reference characters.
