<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embolus capturing device usable when a surgery or treatment or the like with the possibility of generating an embolus on the upstream side of a blood flow is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The embolus capturing device 10 includes: a long-length shaft member 11 whose distal end side is to be sent out into a lumen; a flexible distal end guide part 12 arranged at the distal end of the shaft member 11; and an embolus capturing filter 13 provided on the proximal end side of the distal end guide part 12 and having a basket-shaped filter part 14 which includes a mesh constituted of an elastic or shape-memory wire and is contracted inside a catheter for device conveyance and expanded when discharged from the catheter into the lumen, and a binding part 16 for binding the wire constituting the filter part 14 respectively on the distal end side and the proximal end side. An opening 15 of the filter part 14 is arranged so as to turn to the distal end side of the shaft member 11 and faces the blood flow, and captures a free embolus inside the lumen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
