<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel able to obtain the degree of freedom in layout for positioning or screwing a sensor even when a focus motor is disposed outside the lens barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The lens barrel comprises; an imager; an imager base plate holding the imager; an imager holding frame holding the imager via the imager base plate; and a lens holding frame holding a lens and movable in the direction of the optical axis of the lens. The imager holding frame has a positioning member for determining a holding position for the imager base plate. The lens holding frame has an arm extending in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis and connecting to a drive part, which drives the lens holding frame.
